How about attending conferences, talking to colleagues in the staffroom, reading books, conducting classroom research and so on… these can also important nodes of a PLN. The internet affords us wonderful opportunities for professional development, but teachers were still able to develop themselves pre-1995 ; P
Good point. I was one track minded for this survey. I have two parts to my presentation: the real world and the virtual world. I am interested in how people participate in the virtual world. I should add that to the introduction to my survey. Thanks for point it out.
