Thank you Ms. Cynthia for telling my grandmother about the ribbons in the hair of the little girl that I drew. She was so proud of me. Stage 1, MRCS

Thank you Mrs. Pompey for lending an ear and sticking around to become my friend even though you didn’t teach me any classes. Thanks for showing me other choices. WCSS

Mr. Bender, thank you for so much: rides to school on snowy days when I didn’t make the bus, math club and a connection over problem solving, encouragement and support. (Grade 9 -12 WCSS)

Thank you Christine for teaching me that you can teach math in other ways than chalk and talk, for letting me create and use different assessment types, and for (using the methods that you taught in your own teaching. (Education, University of Ottawa)

To my first teacher, Ms. Rosina, you set me on the path for life with unconditional love and pride, often more than I even expect.. Sorry I wasn’t as patient as I should have been.

There were teachers who taught me a lot, teachers who helped me become who I am today, and a few who did both. Today, I recognize those who did both. School and teaching is more than about stimulating the brain. It’s extra meaningful when it touches the heart. Thank you to every one who of you out there who not only touch minds, but hearts as well.
