Do you have children in your life who enjoy reading non-fiction books? KidNonFic is a substack that lets you subscribe to receive non-fiction book recommendations for children. It has a free option, or you can support the writers with a yearly or monthly pledge.
Each post (e.g. Making Comics) shares several non-fiction book recommendations on a particular topic and indicates the recommended grade level(s) for each book.
I recommend that you use the grade level as a guide, and use your knowledge of the child’s interest and reading level to guide you. And if you buy a book that is a bit too difficult for them, it’s a good opportunity to read the book together.
